I have worked intermittently with a Burlesque show in Albany, New York (Bing Bamboo Room).  I have found it to be a great experience.

I have a friend in NYC who performs in a burlesque-type show.  He sent me a dvd of the show, and I must admit that it was very entertaining!

Nashville has a very active Burlesque scene. Miss Lolly Pop has been a great supporter and fan or public performances and books magic acts quite a bit for her burlesque variety reviews. She host a show every Saturday night at the Pond in Franklin, TN at 10 PM. Its free and you never know what you'll see by its gauarnteed to be good. You may even see Big Daddy Cool!

If you are in the Nashville area, you defeinitely want ot visit the Pond on Saturday nights!
