Topic: How to Embed videos in posts

We've installed a special feature to this forum that will automatically embed videos in the posts by simply pasting the URL to the video.

For example let's say you want to post a youtube video in your post. Go to the youtube page of the video and copy the URL to that page. It can be found on the right of the video like you see in this image:



Then paste that URL in your post here on the forum. The URL will automatically be embedded in the post.

Here's what the URL in the above image will display.

If anyone pastes the Embed code in it'll automatically be turned into a link to the video. So if you want the video to display on your post do not paste the embed code. Use the URL.


Currently supported formats that can be embedded in posts are:

• Flash videos (.flv)
• Avi files (.avi) (with DivX player)
• Quicktime files (.mov)
• Windows Media files (.wmv/.wma)

   

URL's to any of these formats will automatically be embedded in the posts.

The above will embed a .wmv video in the post.
